What We Believe
The Bible
-
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It’s the foundation for our personal lives and how we function as a church (2 Timothy 3:16). It is our final authority and guide in all matters of faith and practice.
About God
-
God is eternal, all-powerful, and the Creator of everything (Psalm 90:2).
-
He exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).
-
God is perfectly holy and righteous (Isaiah 6:3), and He loves every person (John 3:16).
-
He has complete knowledge and wisdom (Romans 11:33).
About Jesus Christ
-
Jesus Christ is God in human form. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross (John 1:1, 1:14, 1 Timothy 3:16)
-
His death was a sacrifice for sin, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe (Hebrews 10:12).
-
He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is alive today (1 Corinthians 15:3–8).
About Humanity
-
Every person has sinned and needs salvation (Romans 3:23; Acts 4:12).
-
Salvation is not earned by good works or religious rituals, but is a gift from God, received by faith in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8–9).
-
Those who trust in Jesus are born again and given new life (John 3:3).
-
God desires for everyone to be saved and sent His Son to make that possible (1 Timothy 2:4–6).
About the Church
-
The Church—the body of Christ—began on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came (Acts 2:1–3; 1 Corinthians 12:13).
-
Every believer is part of this body. Local churches are made up of believers who have been baptized and who follow the teachings of the New Testament.
-
We gather regularly for fellowship, prayer, Bible teaching, and to observe the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41–42).
-
We meet in the name of Jesus Christ, recognizing His authority and central place in everything we do (Matthew 18:20; Colossians 1:18).
-
Leadership in the local church is provided by elders who lead by example and serve the church family (1 Peter 5:3).
-
Each local church is independent and accountable directly to the Lord (Hebrews 13:17; Revelation 2–3).
-
The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowering us for service and worship (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4, 7).
About the Future
-
Jesus Christ will return—first to take His church to be with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18), and later to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:11–16).
-
Those who reject God’s offer of salvation will face final judgment and eternal separation from God (Revelation 20:11–15).
-
God's desire is for all to be saved, which is why Jesus gave His life for us on the cross (1 Timothy 2:4–6; 1 Peter 1:18–21).
